The transition from my high school life to college life was tough because the pandemic happened. Academic challenges become more complicated than before since going through online classes, where everything depends on the performance of my internet connection is quite draining. However, I cannot deny the fact that I enjoy some aspects of college life especially encountering new people who make college life more bearable.

So, If you are currently worrying if you can surpass the first stage in College, don't worry because this article is for you.

Tip#1: Have a backup plan in case your internet loses its connectivity.

Let's just say that the first thing to survive is to have a stable internet connection. An online class is Anti-poor, the advantage goes to those who can avail the fastest connection. Saving up for a load wallet is important in case of an emergency.

Tip#2: Taking care of your Devices

If you have a laptop, you are one step ahead. College was full of essays, written works, and video presentations that require a high amount of creativity and software usage. Cleaning up and protecting your devices, either its personal computer, laptop, or phone is essential because it's your new partner in crime in this setup.

Tip #3 Back up your Storages

One of the most stressful scenarios you may encounter is when malicious software wipes up all the data on your devices. All of your important documents must have a copy stored in a safe space if you do not want to be devastated at the end. I advise you to invest in a flash drive (USB) or hard disk drive because storing online is not safe as you think.

Tip #4 Organizing your schedule

This personally, helps me a lot. Simply listing down a to-do list for the day can save you from forgetting a deadline. Be productive but do not overwork yourself, leave space for a break ―watch your favorite series, scroll down on social media or eat in between.

Tip #5 Go out Occasionally

Pandemic took a toll on our mental health, to at least freshen up your mind from isolation, I suggest going out sometimes. Whether it is a 10-minute walk, jogging, walking up to your dog, or meeting up with a friend is fine, as long as you clear your mind and rest for a while.

Tip #6 Have a connection to your seniors

To have an overview of your course and your department, I advise you to establish a connection with your seniors so you can ask them a thing or two about professors, subjects, or even organizations. They will help us to navigate our journey in tertiary.

Tip #7 Join Clubs or Organizations

Joining orgs can be very beneficial and fun. Besides meeting a diverse set of people you will also learn your full potential as they will unleash your talents. Additionally, creating connections to your organization mates can help you soon.

Tip #8 Choose a healthy circle of Friends

Being in a circle of friends who will help you to achieve your goal together is the best thing that can happen in college. Be with people that will appreciate you and support you, but will not tolerate your wrongdoings. I, myself, was lucky enough to land on a group of people who have the same beliefs, and morale and were also fun to be with.

This was my first-hand experience in college and I hope you learn from this. We may have a different experience in tertiary but I know these tips may help you in a way or two.
